Mission: We befriend farmworker families in Ventura County by supporting, celebrating, and advocating for them.
Our Executive Director, Dr Martita Martinez-Bravo, has been recognized by the Los Angeles Rams with a pLAymaker award. The award honors Kenny Washington, the first Black NFL player who played with the Rams with the jersey #13. Per the Rams, “each of the 13 playmakers is defined by core values he exemplified, including perseverance in the face of adversity, dedication to their goals, fortitude through breaking barriers, and inspiring others around them to make a difference.”
Laundry Love is a monthly program in Oxnard and El Rio at local laundromats. Check out photos from a recent Oxnard event below, when children were given backpacks with school supplies and families were given Target gift cards. Our children's program is also a big hit!
Friends of Fieldworkers is excited to present six scholarships for the 2024-25 school year. Students are welcome to apply beginning March 4, 2024 and can find application information under our Programs page.
