 Josefina “Josie” Arrigoni was raised in Fillmore, CA by migrant fieldworkers who immigrated here from Mexico. Through their heart and fortitude, her family instilled principles of hard work, compassion, and kindness in her at a young age. These principles laid the foundation for Josie to become a Nurse Practitioner and business owner, while having an inherent drive to help those in need.

Josie earned her registered nursing degree from Moorpark College in 2008 and went on to get her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from California State University Northridge in 2012. She then completed her Master’s in Nursing at University of California, Los Angeles in 2014 as a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

As a provider, she has served many underrepresented patient populations within Ventura County and knows firsthand the difficulties involved with navigating the healthcare system. To that end, she has learned how impactful a patient-centered approach can be to effectively treat individual patient health needs and goals.

In 2021, Josie founded Functional Beauty, a boutique medical spa, to celebrate unique beauty and provide custom holistic beauty plans in the medical aesthetics and self-care space.

Josie is a dedicated and compassionate individual who is committed to making a difference in the world. She is honored to be involved with the Friends of Fieldworkers organization.
