Details on the Adopt-a-Family Program
How it works
- There are two options this year: Adopt the full family, or adopt the teen and adult family members of the Oxnard PAL adopted children.
- Each year, Oxnard PAL provides gifts to approximately 500 children in need in south Oxnard. To ensure the teen siblings and parents are not left out, Friends of Fieldworker sponsors may elect to sign up to purchase gifts for this remaining half of a family.
- Sponsors will be paired with lists of families and delivery instructions and a deadline - gifts will be delivered to specific locations in Oxnard, not to the families homes.
- Sponsors will spend $40-$50 per person for each member of the adopted family.
- Sponsors agree to protect the privacy of the family they are matched with and not share any personal information.
Timeline
- Sign up by 11/15.
- You will receive the wishlist by 11/30.
- Prepare to drop off fully wrapped gifts by 12/07.
Companies, offices, and groups may team up to adopt larger families.
