LAUNDRY LOVE
We fund monthly Laundry Love programs in El Rio and Oxnard. Our organization provides laundry services free of charge to families. Children come along and join in the fun at our children's activity tables.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Friends of Fieldworkers provides scholarships on an annual basis to fieldworkers and/or their children we are pursuing higher education.
Nine students who are all children of fieldworkers have been selected for the 2024-25 school year. The next application window will open in the Spring of 2025.
EMERGENCY FUNDS
We provide emergency funding to families who are experiencing a variety of crisis situations such as illness, injury, or loss of housing. A significant number of families have been referred to us from neonatal ICU's due to medical issues with newborn babies. We connect with these families personally and provide them with immediate financial relief.
PARTNERSHIPS
On a selective basis, we partner with local and regional organizations to meet the needs of farmworker families. The LA Rams have provided meals to farmworkers in the fields and St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Westlake made 100 Easter baskets for our children!
ADOPT-A-FAMILY HOLIDAY PROGRAM
Friends of Fieldworkers identifies struggling farmworker families who create a wishlist for the holidays. Sponsors are then matched with families and can attend a holiday party or deliver the gifts prior to the party.
