Laundry Love Expands
Thanks to generous giving and the recruitment of new volunteers, we are excited to announce that our existing Laundry Love programs have doubled! Both our south Oxnard and El Rio locations will be able to serve twice as many families, with two monthly events now taking place at each site. We are continuously thankful to Food Share as we hold our various food distributions during our Laundry Love events. We have also invited many community partners to attend and share valuable community resources with the families we serve.
2025 Scholarship Applications Opening Soon
In 2024 nine local students were awarded scholarship funds, with two of them being recipients of the Lock Family Scholarship which will follow them throughout their college journey.
This year we are awarding more scholarships to Ventura County students who are either farmworkers or children of farmworkers. Please check our website on March 4 for the application link.
Farm Visit
Friends of Fieldworkers recently visited Duda Farms to distribute baskets donated by St Jude's Catholic Church and stuffed animals provided by Sonny Horses 4 Kids. If your organization would like to partner with us for a farm visit, please complete this interest form to schedule a farm visit.
