Rennee Dehesa is an attorney practicing in the areas of estate planning and estate administration. She focuses her practice on providing planning and legal assistance to local individuals and families who are primarily native Spanish speakers.

Born in Mexico City, Mexico, Rennee immigrated to Ventura County with her parents at the age of 5. Her parents instilled in her a strong work ethic and ensured that she never lost her native language and stayed connected to her community. Having witnessed and experienced negative treatment of immigrants in her community and on a national level, Rennee developed a strong desire to assist her community through legal advocacy. She attended California Western School of Law in San Diego obtaining a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in just 2 years. For seventeen years, Rennee has practiced in various areas of law, all of which have involved assisting the immigrant community through pro bono and low-cost legal services.

Following the 2016 election, Rennee mobilized with other fellow attorneys and ran “Know Your Rights” presentations across the county, educating immigrant community members about how to respond to anticipated immigration raids and detentions. She is currently a volunteer attorney with Swap Meet Justice which focuses on providing access to attorneys and free or low-cost legal services to the community through on-site consultations at the swap meet at Oxnard College.

She is also involved in other local organizations such as Women Lawyers of Ventura County that focus on promoting and advancing women and people of color in the profession. She is an advisor on the California State University Channel Islands Planned Giving Advisory Committee and is an advisor with the Los Angeles Archdiocese, providing presentations on estate planning to parishes across Ventura and LA Counties. Rennee resides with her husband, a high school counselor, and her young son in the city of Camarillo.
